ROCK AND ROLLS

Raising money with music royalty

From John Lennon's psychedelic  Phantom to Keith Moon and his escapades in swimming pools, Rolls-Royce has long held a very special place in rock and roll folklore.

In partnership with world-renowned celebrity photographer Alistair Morrison, we embarked upon a daring and highly complex collaboration with some of the most famous names in British music. The resulting series of Bespoke one-offs entitled Wraith ‘Inspired by British Music’ were created in collaboration with, and celebrate the legacy of, some of British music’s most revered rock and vocal artists. The cars were presented at London’s Sanderson Hotel by the artists who have created them generating massive global PR that reaffirmed Rolls-Royce's authentic claim to being the most rock and roll brand in the world.

We secured collaborations with British music royalty, creating distinctive and highly collectable celebrations of the careers of artists as diverse as; The Who, The Kinks, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Shirley Bassey.

The resulting global media coverage further dispelled the notion that Rolls-Royce is just the preserve of fat-cats and royalty, retelling in a highly contemporary some of the legendary stories that have endeared the most admired musicians in the world to the brand.

A proportion of each of the car’s value was donated to charities selected by each musician, including The Teenage Cancer Trust. In raising hundreds of thousands of pounds we told an important CSR story.
