The world's most expensive car
Took a lead role in the positioning and communication of arguable the most significant car in Rolls-Royce's contemporary history, Sweptail.
This individual customer commission, realised over five year signalled the marque's return to traditional coachbuilding and therefore served as an authorative expression of the brand's ownership of automotive haute couture.
Built under the strictest condition of secrecy prescribed by its highly influential owner, I was one of a few trusted to attend and manage media and marketing shoots. Indeed, there was such secrecy around the car ahead of its unveiling at the Grand Hotel Villa D'Este in May 2017., I had to personally write the voiceover for the film commissioned by the customer for his personal records.
Results:
Amidst the tightest of security, I negotiated access for the Telegraph Magazine who gave the car a 5 page spread, a piece that set off a worldwide torrent of positive press that continues to this day.
Successfully leveraged the unveiling as a vital brand builder, reaffirming Rolls-Royce's total ownership of the notion of Bespoke.
Organised an international press trip to view the unveiling and meet with key execs and designers at the VIlla D'Este Concourse D'Elegance. The result was stunning long-lead lifestyle coverage.
